Holiday Princess of Peace Semi-Custom Set

Robyn Pandolph is one of my favorite fabric designers...my fabric closet is filled with so much of her lines, that you'd think I have an indoor rose garden, lol. Her designs are so classic and beautiful and they bring peace and tranquility to my soul. And upon learning that sweet Olivia would model my next Pandolph creation, I wanted to create a set that was as precious and beautiful as she.

This set has a timeless, but eclectic, slightly whimsical look. It's Euro meets Classic, one of my favorite styles...My list members get free shipping or a free matching dolly set. On auction here now:

Princess of Peace

Please note: I am happy to line the bodice if you'd like for those in colder climates. I am also happy to leave the dove off the top if you prefer!

A few pics from our vacation earlier this month...

Clyde Austin, my youngest at 3, is really not into Princess meetings anymore. On our last trip, he didn't mind "meeting" them. But on this trip, he hid under the table at our character breakfast with the princesses. He wanted NOTHING to do with them. Tigger (and Pooh's friends) - he loved! And of course he had a blast in Woody's Round-Up (pic above) and at the pirate-themed things. My baby is becoming a full-fledged BOY...lol

Catie, on the other hand, is still favoring anything princess. She had a good time with Pooh and friends, and even the Woody's Round-Up, but still prefers anything with crowns, fancy gowns, and fairytales.

Both kids, on the way back to Texas, got a chance to see the Gulf/beach for the first time. We stayed at a wonderful place in Pensacola Beach, FL for one night and I have to say, I loved that hotel - one of the bests I've ever stayed at! The kids loved every minute and collected seashells. Sadly, we were only there for one night.

I've been tagged by Tonya at Emi Beth Boutique to share some useless information about myself with you!

At the end of the post, that person tags and links to 8 other people and then visits those peoples’ sites and comments letting them know that they have been tagged, and to come read the post, so they know what they have to do.”

on a personal note...

Today/yesterday** would have been my dad's birthday. I wish I had more or different pictures of him to share, but my computer completely crashed and fried in May and I lost everything. Luckily, this was stored on my website...it's one of my favorite pics of us together at my wedding.

Happy Heavenly Birthday Daddy...I miss you more than words can express.

love always,
Anjee

**My dad had two birthdays, lol. He celebrated on both the 30th and 31st of July. Why? Because he was born at home back in the olden days and when his mom and dad went to go get his birth certificate about a month later, they couldn't agree on which day he was born! His mother swore it was the 30th and his dad swore it was the 31st. Everyone in the family always celebrated his birthday on both days, depending on which day was closer to the weekend, lol. If both days fell on any of the two of Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, sometimes there would be a weekend party/family renunion time.

I always remembered his birthday as a kid as the 31st because my birthday fell on the first of a month. But, our family will tell you that Clyde had a 48 hour birthday starting on the 30th. ;)

Winners of the mid-June Prize contest

Sorry I'm late posting this - the winners have all been notified a couple of weeks ago, but I'm just now posting the winners ;)

Originally, I was going to select 2 winners, but decided to up the number to 4 so that my kids could pick two names each. :D Well, after my son picked his first draw, he ran around the house like a chicken - super-excited and like it was a golden prize, lol. We couldn't get him to come back. My daughter had already drawn her 2 names and I couldn't get him to pick another, so I picked the 4th name. Then, he decided to come back, lol. Of course, he saw his sister had 2 names and insisted on his having 2. So, I let him draw another! Needless to say - there were FIVE (5) winners!!!

Each winner gets a FREE pair of custom lounge pants or $10 gift certificate to any Babybluebonnets Boutique purchase. The five winners are, in no order:

al***slo**n@*mail.com
em***et**bou**que@*****.com
**rst*n@**na***os.com
tr*v*3@***.com
T_r**hm@mc***.com

Congratualtions!!!!

Let's Get This Blog Going :D

My mother and husband would be happy to see I've started a blog...they'd like for me to write more. Actually, they'd both really like for me to finish one of my lingering novels that have been untouched since my children were born.

You see - I have boxes and boxes, and files and files (gosh knows where they are on which computer as they span over 15 years of just computer entries) of writings. Of course, if I were to review those writings, I'd probably think most are rubbish. Written rubbish is sometimes better than unwritten masterpieces though, right?

Some I remember are humorous - like musings from my last two years in high school. You see, I'd write little 2 and 3 sentence snipets, thinking perhaps someday I'd have a Ben Franklin-like publication for the 21st century. The last time I read those musings, I literally laughed outloud. It's one of those things where you actually say outloud to yourself, "What were you thinking?" Well - you can imagine how insightful a junior in high school, who had never lived in a town over 15,000 and had pretty much, by choice, spent many Friday nights playing Yatzee or other board games with her best friend and mom. (Oh gosh - that's not to say I didn't on ocassion, do the normal teenage things...and yes, I snuck out a few times growing up until my dad caught me one night...oh, now that's a story...never snuck out again). But, back to my amusing musings...They're really more humorous than anything.

And now I have on my mind two funny stories growing up that involved my dad. And I want to tell about that last night I ever snuck out...it involves several porcelin dolls, a dog, a pillow, and a mom and sister who were out of town. Ok, I threw in that last part as filler, my mom and sister are only involved in the story so far as it was their living the town that precipitated the event.

Then, there was the night my best friend and I left town on a Friday night when we weren't supposed to leave the city limits (see - I told you I didn't always stay home and play Yatzee :D ). Let's just say things didn't go as planned that night either. I don't think my high school best friend had laughed that hard ever. Yes, it was at me and my luck....but, I can't say it all now, can I?

When my birthday comes around every year, it's about that time that I realized I didn't get my first novel published by that year. Until I hit 32, I always just readjusted it another year - I mean even John Grisholm didn't get his first novel published until he was 32 or 33, right? And look what he's become in the last 15 years!! I make high aspirations of writing just five pages a day. That doesn't sound like a lot, does it?? Not at all! But, the sad part comes when you realize that if you only write ONE page a day, you pretty much could write one novel a year...you'd have 365 pages!

Stephen King once wrote a short article stating that no matter what and no matter how long it takes, he writes 10 pages a day, even if all but one sentence is rubbish. He has trained himself to start at the same time everyday and has no endpoint. Some days he finishes the ten pages in an hour and some days it takes 3 hours. But, he makes himself write the 10 pages. Walk past the Ks in the fiction section of the library and you pretty much know his philosophy works.

So why can't I write one page a day?? lol

Maybe writing in this blog will get me to start writing again and finish that murder thriller book I've got calling me to finish it....
